When Madden NFL 15 launches in late August across PlayStation and Xbox platforms (as well as PC), you'll find a ton of new defensive controls and options, according to a presentation given at EA's annual E3 press conference.
New camera angles have been styled to help give players new and better perspectives when on the defensive side of the ball. This allows players to "read and attack the offense" in fresh and dynamic ways. A litany of new pass block moves, shoves, and more have been installed in Madden 15 to allow defensive-minded players better control over their defensive assaults, whether they're trying to shut down the run or get to the quarterback.
Tackling has also been altered to give players more options in a sort of risk-and-reward system. Open field tackles can be finicky in Madden; Madden NFL 15 tries to nip that in the bud and give players "more consistent results" by giving them access to safe tackles, more daring and risky last ditch tackles, dives to knock the ball carrier out of bounds, and more.
