Dream Police #2 almost reads like more of a first issue than Dream Police #1. J. Michael Straczynski devotes more time to actually fleshing out the world of the Dreamscape and the characters who inhabit it. That's not the worst way to approach a new series, as it's more important to hook the reader with a solid story than bore them up front with the nitty gritty details. Whether Dream Police qualifies as a solid story yet is still open to debate, but there's definite potential with Straczynski's newest creator-owned series.
