I was happy that "Goblin Nation" skipped the setup phase and kicked off with Otto Octavoius already in the midst of his big war with the Green Goblin. But if you really want more build-up to that conflict, this latest arc of Superior Spider-Man Team-Up aims to please. Unfortunately, it never seems to add anything truly meaningful to "Goblin Nation." Writer Kevin Shinick hinges this entire issue on Otto's loss of confidence and feelings of betrayal, but it all feels too heavy-handed for its own good.
