We've come to the end of the road with Jason Aaron's Wolverine and the X-Men. Though Marvel will soon be relaunching this series with a new creative team, and Aaron still has Amazing X-Men on the docket, the end of this series is going to leave a a void in the X-Men franchise. Issue #42 is a fitting sendoff for Aaron's run, equal parts bittersweet, optimistic, and comical. In other words, the same elements that has made this book a success all along.
