With Ben Affleck, David Yates, and Scott Cooper all having flirted with the project in the past, Warner Bros. and CBS Films have reportedly finally landed a director for their feature film version of Stephen King's The Stand.
TheWrap reports that Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) "is nearing a deal to write and direct" what the site claims will be "a single, R-rated movie that will be faithful to the book."
King's best-selling novel was previously adapted as a TV miniseries in 1994.
