Warner Bros. has tapped writer Jack Thorne (How I Live Now) to pen the screenplay for their upcoming Sandman movie, based on Neil Gaiman's critically acclaimed comic book.

We already know that David Goyer, who assembled the pitch for Warners, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are attached to produce the feature adaptation, with Gaiman executive producing.
