Warning: Full spoilers for the episode follow...
Parks and Rec has returned, after yet another multi-week break, with "Anniversaries" - an episode largely devoted to Leslie trying to "save" the Pawnee-Eagleton merger by finding things that represent unity between the two burgs. And due to her feverishly trying to put a good spin on a plan that's been marred with ill-will, she misses Ben's perfect pre-"anniversary day" day of massages, Enchanted-inspired carriage rides (Tally Ho!), dancing lessons, and cooking classes.
Fortunately, Larry was right there by Ben's side to share in all these special moments - at Ben's request, no less. And I think my favorite part about the gift day storyline, other than Ben being angrily determined that Leslie be the one to make the usual dopey surprise face ("She will make that stupid face!"), was that Larry didn't screw anything up. Because, at first glance, having Larry help Ben plan his special day with Leslie is a terrible idea. So much so that I figured Larry would screw up a bunch of things, leaving me frustrated with Ben for thinking it would all run smoothly. But this wasn't workplace Larry. This was outside of the Parks Department Larry. The Larry who Gayle Gergich fell in love with (although Ben's accidental hypnosis theory still holds water).
