There's something about the concept of a ragtag team of C-List supervillains banding together that brings out the best in writers. Secret Six still ranks as Gail Simone's best superhero work, and the same goes for Nick Spencer and the similar-minded Superior Foes of Spider-Man. This series is the most amusing superhero comic you'll find this side of Hawkeye, and it shows just how much Spencer has to offer the Marvel U given the right project and set of characters.
