Mobile Gamer Sets A Guinness World Record

Not only did thousands of gamers compete in Kiip's first ever Mobile Gaming Championship, but one lucky girl walked away with a Guinness World Record.


“There are console and PC gaming tournaments, but no one has created a highly competitive experience for mobile – until now,” said Kiip's CEO Brian Wong before the tournament began.


In an effort to find the world's best mobile gamers, Alayna Felton, 21, beat out thousands of competitors and earned the Guinness World Record for Longest Distance Run in Into the Dead after demolishing the mobile title with her official score of 32,858. The previous high score was 23,800.


Kiip's Mobile Gaming Championship event was held over the October 11-13 weekend. Throughout the online tournament, gamers tried to earn the highest score possible in Into the Dead. More than 870 hours of gameplay were clocked during the event and players ran 47,677,346 total meters.
