Does Cataclysm actually need a primer issue? Ignoring the fact that the conflict in this mini-series is about as simple and straightforward as they come, the only direct prelude material has been the recently concluded Hunger mini-series. But regardless of necessity, Marvel has released Cataclysm #0.1 in advance of the main series. And far more than just catching new readers up to speed, it provides a sobering perspective of the threat the Ultimate heroes face from Galactus as well as a heartwarming tale of a robot who wants to learn how to feel love.
