Silicon Valley: Season 1 Review

After a decent start in its first couple of episodes, Mike Judge’s Silicon Valley quickly gained steam to deliver one of the funniest comedies on TV this season. Following the misadventures of a tech start-up with no definitive direction and a cast of perverse, neurotic, and naïve slackers, Silicon Valley introduced us to a cast of characters that experienced real growth in the span of only eight episodes.


Season 1 was bold to introduce as many characters as it did; the cast ballooned quickly and there were a few causalities as a result (the Asian roommate, Big Head), but generally the main characters got the attention they deserved episode-to-episode. However, it’s worth noting that only Richard and Erlich – and to a lesser degree, Jared – really had actual arcs over the course of the season.
