Evolve’s New Monster is a Flying Cthulu Wizard

If Evolve’s first monster Goliath is Turtle Rock’s take on a brutish, reptilian King Kong, its second monster is a flying Cthulu Wizard.

I’m sure we’re all familiar with some form of the Kraken. Whether it’s through mythology, Clash of the Titans, or Pirates of the Caribbean, the iconic sea beast is one of the most recognizable creatures in pop culture. What I’m here to tell you is that Evolve’s take on the Kraken could very well have what it takes to rival any of its other depictions. Like I said, the best way I can describe this Kraken is as a flying Cthulu wizard.

Unlike Goliath’s heavy, dangerous ground-based attacks, Kraken is all about flying around the map and attacking Hunters from afar. Kraken is able to move around the map much quicker than Goliath thanks its flight, but this comes at the cost of lower overall health. But don’t worry too much about the monster being outnumbered, because its elemental-based attacks were more than enough to make even the most hardened group of Hunters scatter for cover.
