Considering the Oscar-winning Avatar’s major successes -- among its achievements, it reigns as the highest-grossing theatrical release of all-time -- one must wonder, how much more Avatar are we going to get?! The answer has arrived: director James Cameron has been writing 1,500 pages of notes, which will be used by four writers to create scripts for the Avatar sequels.
During the LA Times’ Hero Complex Film Festival, Cameron revealed that he hired writers Josh Friedman (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles), Dawn of the Planet of the Apes scribes Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, and Shane Salerno (Armageddon) to script three more Avatar sequels. Cameron wrote the 1,500 pages of notes in order to create a “visually detailed” universe, as though the writing team was set out to “adapt a noel or series of novels."
