This Week on the Nintendo eShop (Feb. 20, 2014)

Hey gang! A brand new Wii U game is out this week! Woo hoo! And it seems to be a good one as Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze comes out on the eShop tomorrow. Jose dug it, and hey, maybe you will, too! Also, Weapon Shop de Omasse, the fabled fourth Guild01 game, is coming to 3DS eShop today alongside Kung Fu Rabbit, a 3DS port of a Wii U eShop game from 2013. The rest of the week is the 3DS puzzler Quell Reflect and a pair of Virtual Console games, neither of which is Super Mario Bros. 3


Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze ($49.99, Available February 21)


At long last, Donkey Kong Country returns (not like the Wii game) in Tropical Freeze, the first retail Wii U game from Nintendo in 2014. The latest from Retro Studios, it is a sequel to the 2010 Wii game Donkey Kong Country Returns. This time around, you can play as Dixie Kong and Cranky Kong in addition the dynamic duo of Donkey and Diddy. The plot involves some sort of banana theft courtesy of some ice-inspired baddies. David Wise, composer of the original DKC trilogy, is back for this installment and you can play with Rambi the Rhino. Man, I want to play this game right now...
