It can be tough to tell a Wolverine story that feels genuinely new or different at this point. The most this new arc of Savage Wolverine has going for it is the unique setting. We haven't seen much of Logan during the early part of the 20th Century, and seeing him as a Prohibition-era smuggler with a family of orphaned children to protect certainly has novelty. But unfortunately, this arc doesn't take full advantage of this material to tell a truly different kind of Wolverine tale.
