The aliens have landed, and they're doing... nothing. Such is the premise of Image Comics' newest comic, Trees, from the creative duo of Warren Ellis and Jason Howard.
Set in the presumably near future, Trees posits a world where not only is there alien life, but they're here, looming over us in massive tree-like structures. Real hostile take-over type stuff, right? Not quite. Since their arrival 10 years ago, the Trees have lorded silently over humanity, not so much ignoring the people of Earth as unwilling to lower themselves to their intellectual level. Of course, we humans being thoughtful, rational beings of superior intelligence, decide to throw all our rules and regulations out the window in favor of mass hysteria. Who'da thunk?
