Mario Kart 8 is set to get free Mercedes DLC in Japan later this summer.
The deal has apparently been done between Mercedes-Benz and Nintendo in a bid by the former company to promote its new GLA car. That's not the most interesting part, however.
No, the most interesting part is the truly surreal advert that's been released to announce the deal. Featuring a live-action Mario who looks truly terrifying, along with a Goomba, it really needs to be seen to be believed. Check it out.
As for the Mercedes GLA DLC, we reached out to Nintendo to see if we'd be seeing it in the west and it looks like the signs are good.
"The announcement this time was made by Mercedes-Benz Japan regarding their collaboration in Japan with NCL, and as for the information relating to the distribution of the GLA kart for MK8 outside Japan, we will be able to announce in the near future," we were told.
