Grant Gustin is at the center of one of fall’s most anticipated new TV series, as the Glee alum takes on the lead role in The Flash.
After being introduced in a couple episodes of Arrow last fall, Gustin, as Barry Allen, is now moving into his own spinoff on the CW, which will follow the adventures of the Scarlet Speedster.
One thing that really sticks out in The Flash footage we’ve seen so far is that, unlike in some other recent DC Comics adaptations, Barry seems truly thrilled to become a superhero. When I asked Gustin if that enthusiasm extends to the actor playing the role, he replied, “Barry’s just excited by all of this. He’s a fanboy! And I don’t have to hide my excitement as I play the role, so it’s really fun to play with.”
