For the seventh straight month, PlayStation 4 was the best-selling console in the United States, edging out its competition in the form of Microsoft's Xbox One and Nintendo's Wii U for the month of July, 2014. This news, which comes from the NPD Group, comes on the heels of Sony's announcement that PlayStation 4 has sold over 10 million units in about nine months' time.
As far as next-gen software sales are considered, Sony claims it won the race "by a considerable margin." The Last of Us: Remastered -- a game we gave a 10 to -- was the best-selling overall game, according to Sony, and PS4 software "accounted for more than half of total next generation software sales."
