While the name of the upcoming Star Wars animated series is Star Wars Rebels, the show is set firmly in the midst of the Empire's dominance. Taking place five years before Episode IV, Rebels is about a group who are part of the beginnings of what will develop into the full Rebel Alliance, during a time when many still support the Empire, thanks to Palpatine's use of fear and deception.
This week, Lucasfilm is doing a special mailing to 2500 lucky individuals around the world, who will be receiving a special gift from the Empire. The contents include a set of six limited edition cards that represent the world of Star Wars Rebels - original illustrations from Amy Beth Christenson, a member of the Lucasfilm Animation art department working on Star Wars Rebels.
