New releases Pompeii and 3 Days to Kill couldn't dethrone The LEGO Movie at the weekend box office. The animated blockbuster remained No. 1 for the third weekend in a row with an estimated $31.5 million.
3 Days to Kill debuted in second place with $12.3 million. The third through sixth spots in the domestic Top 10 were all occupied by Sony releases, with Pompeii bowing in third place with an estimated $10 million.
