Every episode of Helix starts off my reminding us how little time has passed since Alan Farragut and his team arrived in the Arctic. Even though we at home may be getting frustrated at the lack of hard information about the virus, it’s only been five days and things have morphed quickly for the characters. It makes me wonder if the show is designed to be binge-watched. At any rate, “The White Room” was a lot of fun, whether or not it actually moved the virus plot along. The scene of Alan discussing his progress with Dr. Duchamp was really just a jargony way of saying, “Yup, still working on that cure.” Which is fine since we’re not in this for the microscopes, right?
