Note: Full spoilers for the episode follow.
After a couple of rather low-intensity episodes, "Bloodline" ramped things up again with homemade explosives, a decapitation and, most importantly a sense of fun. I think Helix is best when it embraces the camp rather than taking itself too seriously. Case in point, Julia's hilariously unexpected punking of Alan and Sarah by reenacting a scene from Alien. It's a pop-cultural wink to the audience but it also shows us just how giddy Julia is. Just a couple days ago she was infested with goo and doomed and now she's not just well but actually the healthiest she's ever been.
At this point, the remaining CDC members think Julia's recovery means they can use her antibodies to synthesize a cure but it turns out she's not Survivor Zero as she hoped and she doesn't remember that Hatake shot her up with superhero juice or whatever. She does know she has silver eyes now, and I had to laugh when she asked liar extraordinaire Sarah if she could keep a secret. Yes Julia, she can. Especially if it's a terrible idea.
