If you turn on your PlayStation 4 today, expect to be prompted to download a new system update. Firmware 1.61 is now live, and you’ll need to download it in order to sign onto PlayStation Network.
Firmware 1.61 does four things: improves DVD playback picture quality, supports various wireless stereo headsets, allows for the muting of the PlayStation Camera’s microphone, and – as always – improves “software stability.”
So, get downloading! Consider this a notice from your friendly neighborhood IGN Senior Editor.
