Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown, it seems. Crisis of conscious officially over for the Governor, though! As far as Phillip/one-eyed Brian is concerned, it’s not the right thing, or the wrong thing – it’s the only thing.
It’s interesting, these last two episodes have been the most difficult of the season to review, and I suspect that the mixed response to the Governor’s reintroduction will continue. It’s clear that the writers have taken elements from both the comic and the novel The Rise of the Governor and blended them into something new. Judging from that tank (which is in fact a gun that they will have to play) we can probably make an educated guess about where things are headed.
