The first downloadable content pack for State of Decay, entitled Breakdown, will be released on Xbox 360 and PC on November 29, developer Undead Labs has announced.
The DLC will be priced at $6.99 on both platforms. Details on what it consists of have been slowly coming out since its major component -- a sandbox mode -- was confirmed in July. The sandbox mode is joined by additional difficulty levels and new weapons, playable characters, and Achievements.
In announcing early last month that the game had sold one million units, Undead promised news on the DLC would be coming soon after. Details on sandbox mode were published on Undead's website which explained how its difficulty ramps up over time. For starters, fast zombies are encountered more often and fewer vehicles are available for players to get around in. An FAQ posted on the developer's forums further outlined how the progression of sandbox mode works, including what players are allowed to take from one "town" to the next.
