Oscar winner Javier Bardem is reportedly being eyed to play the villain in Pan.
The Skyfall and No Country for Old Men baddie has been offered the role of the pirate Blackbeard in the Warner Bros. project that Atonement and Hanna director Joe Wright is being lined up to direct. Greg Berlanti (Green Lantern, Arrow) will produce.
"In
Fuchs’ script, an orphan is taken to the magical world of Neverland, where he becomes the savior of the natives and leads a rebellion against evil pirates," according to Deadline. "Bardem would play the captain of the bad guys, Blackbeard."
