While the cast for Stars Wars: Episode VII is full of familiar faces and names, one of the lesser known players is Daisy Ridley, who also happens to be the only new main female addition to the Disney/Lucasfilm movie revealed so far. But a five-minute short film from Ridley's past gives us a better idea of what to expect of the actress in a galaxy far, far away.
Spotted by SlashFilm, Ridley appeared in a short film called "Blue Season" as part of last year's Sci-Fi London 48-Hour Film Challenge. The thriller project showcases the young actress as a trapped prisoner who receives a phone call from an older man, who apparently can help her escape her imprisonment. Ridley shows off a range of emotions in the brief project, which may have helped her land the big gig in Star Wars: Episode VII. Watch it here:
