Veteran game developer and Oculus chief technology officer John Carmack has weighed in on Facebook’s acquisition of the company he joined late last year.
Responding to a blog post (via The Verge) on the purchase by musician Peter Berkman, of US chiptune rock band Anamanaguchi, Carmack conceded the Facebook acquisition happened without his direct involvement.
“I wasn’t personally involved in any of the negotiations,” he wrote. “I spent an afternoon talking technology with Mark Zuckerberg, and the next week I find out that he bought Oculus.”
