Sorry Alice, it's time to leave Wonderland. ABC ran a promo for the next episode Once Upon a Time in Wonderland last night and pointedly called the 13th episode the "series finale." Not season, series. The Once Upon a Time spinoff has been struggling with ratings, so it's not the most surprising news.

Putting the series in the 8pm Thursday timeslot may have sealed its fate. ABC hasn't had any success in recent years in that timeslot - and it wasn't the initial plan for Wonderland. The 13 episode series was initially meant to take the place of Once Upon a Time during the break between the show's fall and spring runs. It would have aired in Once Upon a Time's Sunday night slot and probably better benefited from that series' existing audience.
