Director Quentin Tarantino is considering bringing the Oscar-winning Django Unchained to television in expanded form, as a four-part miniseries.
During a discussion at the Cannes Film Festival, the Pulp Fiction director told an audience, “I have about 90 minutes’ worth of material with Django
hasn’t been seen. My idea, frankly, is to cut together a four-hour version of Django Unchained."
Tarantino goes on to say that he would cut the story into “four hour chapters,” each shown as an individual episode, noting, "We'd use all the material I have and it wouldn't be an endurance test. It would be a miniseries. And people love those. People roll their eyes at a four-hour movie. But a four-hour miniseries that they like, then they are dying to watch all four parts. That's how I thought it could work."
