Nintendo has announced a new ad revenue sharing program, which will entitle "proactive" creators of YouTube Let's Play videos featuring Nintendo games to some of the ad revenue.
"We are preparing an affiliate program in which a portion of the advertising profit is given to the creator," Nintendo said in a statement to Gamaustra. "Details about this affiliate program will be announced in the future."
In 2013, Nintendo began claiming ad revenue on Let's Play videos featuring its games, inciting backlash from prolific Let's Play creators such as Zack Scott.
