It's been a long time since Jim Starlin has worked with his most famous Marvel creation. Not that Thanos has exactly languished under the hands of writers like Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning, and Jonathan Hickman, but it's certainly nice to see Starlin return to the Mad Titan this year. Thanos Annual #1 serves as both a primer for the character in general and a lead-in to Starlin's upcoming graphic novel, Thanos: Infinity Revelation. Unfortunately, the issue focuses way too much on the former, but anyone who craves a classic, old-school take on Thanos should be pleased nonetheless.
