Utes. There's certainly no car more Strayan than a ute. The result of a letter from a Victorian farmer's wife asking Ford Australia for “a vehicle to go to church in on a Sunday and which can carry our pigs to market on Monday", the first ute was released in 1934. 80 years later, Codemasters is finally putting utes in its upcoming racing game Grid Autosport. Come June, we'll be able to get to the important business of racing them against one another and doing doughnuts until it rains, because ute owners are also weather warlocks.
