Harley Quinn thus far has really been a renaissance for the character. She's unattached to what's happening the in the DC universe and much more disconnected to what's happening in Gotham City. Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner are clearly having fun with Harley Quinn. Issue #6 marks the end of her partnership with Sy Borg and it's the over the top fun that has been the norm in this series.
Harley Quinn has become the kind of book that one would need to not over think. Morals and ethics do not apply to any of what happens in this book. In issue #6, the violence is at an all new high. Many comparisons have been made to Deadpool and in this issue it's much more obvious. That doesn't take away from the quality though, as the exaggerated violence is perfectly punctuated by equally exaggerated jokes.
