Japanese publication Weekly Famitsu has released the first images and details for Hyrule Warriors, the tentative title of the upcoming action-focused installment in Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda series.
Hyrule Warriors, titled Zelda Musou in Japan, is developed byωForce (called Omega Force) and Team Ninja with supervision from Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma.
Famitsu revealed a variety of information on the upcoming game (as translated by NeoGAF). The story will cast Link as a soldier in-training that must rescue Princess Zelda from the witch Shia. Hyrule Warriors will include a two-player mode that will utilize the Wii U GamePad as a separate screen. Equipping different weapons will change the way characters fight, and it will feature a weapon upgrade system for character growth.
