Slade has unleashed his soldiers on Starling City, and they seem unstoppable. Oliver and his team barely made headway against them and Ravager in last week's episode, but just as everything was looking dark, Felicity got a call from STAR Labs. We'll learn what they have to say in this week's "Streets of Fire," but since it's called "game-changing news," it seems reasonable that it will be a cure for the Mirakuru. There doesn't seem a way out of the situation without the cure.
While Oliver, Laurel (does everyone know his identity now?!), and company fight Slade, Thea encounters a blast from the past. It was only a matter of time before the formidable Malcolm Merlyn returned. Will he fight against Slade to protect his daughter, or will he help destroy Starling City?
