Tomb Raider #1 Review

tombraider1 Tomb Raider #1, by writer Gail Simone and artist Nicolás Daniel Selma, is meant to be a good jumping on point for new readers who haven't necessarily played the most recent game to completion. As someone who has done just that, I can't begin to tell you if that endeavor is successful or not (I cannot unsee what has been seen), but I can tell you that the story picks up in the aftermath of the game's events. Lara Croft still bears the psychological scars left by her time on Yamatai, and her friends and fellow survivors aren't doing much better. And it's especially hard to put the pieces back together when the past stubbornly refuses to stay dead.
