Sony Computer Entertainment Australia and Nissan have today announced the annual and internationally-recognised GT Academy program will be extended to Australia in 2014. The top six Gran Turismo players in the country will be sent to the GT Academy International Final, to be held at the famous Silverstone racing circuit in the UK.
The top 14 GT players from across the country, as established via the GT6 leaderboards in a series of special time trials, will be joined by an additional 14 players identified at several live contests to be held at V8 Supercars rounds and other public events around Australia. The 28 gamers will compete in a National Final event encompassing GT6 races, actual driving skill challenges in a real car, a fitness challenge, and a media test.
