As far as I'm concerned, one of the worst things about the recent Winter Olympics was that it kept Arrow off the air for several weeks. Thankfully, the world has gotten its fill of bobsledding and curling, and we can get back to our regularly scheduled programming. The bad news is that "Time of Death" didn't do much to advance the overarching conflict of Season 2 in either the present or the flashbacks (apart from the pivotal final scene). But it did offer some pretty compelling family drama and a "villain of the week" who came across as more than a walking plot device. Not a bad way to welcome viewers back, all in all.
