Damn, this is one super comic. New Action Comics writer Greg Pak dives into this Zero Year tie-in headfirst along with superstar artist Aaron Kuder and they amaze on all fronts. For those of us who have waded through the muck that has been the New 52 Superman, this issue is a huge breath of fresh air. Even though this story has nothing to do with the actual events of Zero Year, it uses the time when Superman was younger to its advantage. He can’t fly, he wears blue t-shirts instead of the iconic suit, and we get to peer inside his mind to learn why he uses his powers for good. If you’ve been waiting for a time to start reading Superman, pick up Action Comics today.
