Rat Queens #3 dials back the humor a bit to give us a better look at some of the characters, which is a good thing. You'll miss the humor though, which isn't to say this issue isn't funny, it's just not as funny as the previous two. In a way, the nonstop humor is the heart of this series, so when things slowdown, it's like something is missing. Still, Rat Queens is a freaking rad comic book series and it deserves a place on your pull list. Plus, it's really, really pretty.
