Beware of spoilers as writers Greg Pak and Charles Soule discuss the Superman: Doomed crossover from DC Comics!
IGN Comics: To start us off, could you recap everything that's happened in the Superman: Doomed crossover so far?
Greg Pak: All you need to know is that the worst threat Superman has ever faced has returned to planet Earth. It's Doomsday, a monster that only exists to kill. But this time, Doomsday isn't just punching things. Wherever he walks, rivers turn black, forests catch fire -- he radiates death. Superman has to stretch himself to his utmost limits in order take him out. But, spoiler alert, by the end of the big Doomed one-shot, Superman does take Doomsday out, but Superman himself becomes infected with whatever Doomsday was carrying. We're going to see the fallout of that as the story continues.
