Let's just get this out of the way: Valiant Hearts is a gorgeous and emotional journey through the perilous years of World War I. On the heels of Rayman Legends and Child of Light, the world of war-torn Europe comes to life through the tactile, hand-drawn nature of UbiArt Framework. Though simplistic, the characters and environments convey emotion better than most AAA photo-realistic games. But despite all of this, something just doesn't sit right with me.
It's not the narrative, which is fantastic so far. We touched on the over-arching story back in September, but recently got to dive in much deeper. The story chronologically follows the course of the war, but hops between perspectives every couple minutes. One moment you're a German soldier, the next you're a French medic, the next a British pilot learning to fly.
