I had to skip last week’s review while I was in New York for Upfronts and unfortunately, a confluence of other events means this review is going up very late itself, meaning I’m going to try and keep it short.
There were a lot of cool events this week, as The 100 continues to prove it’s willing to go to some very grim places. From the opening with the drop ship being investigated, including random limbs and charred skeletons, to the abundance of people vomiting blood that would follow, there was plenty of grisly thrills to be had.
I will say that what appears to be the death of everyone on that drop ship feels like a waste. Why establish Diana over the last few episodes and her power grab if she was just going to die, along with all her followers, in such a random way? I had figured her presence on Earth, before any of the other adults, would be another chaotic factor to deal with, but instead, it looks like it’s a non-factor.
