As part of IGN's Spider-Man Month, we are delving into the wall-crawler's comic book history to highlight his greatest moments. But what makes a moment great? We decided that whether the moment be a heroic triumph or a crushing failure, it had to have a defining impact on Spider-Man's character as well as an emotional gut-punch to us when we read it.
These are the moments that define who Peter Parker is and what he fights for, the ones that still make our Spidey-sense tingle when we read them today.
