Having played Black Canary (Young Justice), Black Widow (The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes), Mary Jane Watson (The Spectacular Spider-Man), Olga Gurlukovich (Metal Gear Solid 2) and so many more, Vanessa Marshall has built an incredibly impressive career as a voice performer in animated series and video games. Yet despite that resume, her excitement about now being one of the leads in Star Wars Rebels was palpable when I sat down with her recently.
A huge Star Wars fan since her youth, Marshall laughed about conversations she’ll have with one of Rebels’ executive producers, Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), noting, “He says I'm a bigger nerd than he is. I'm like, ‘That's not possible.’ He's goes, ‘I don't know anything about Star Wars’ and I'm like, ‘Shut up, man!’
