Diamond Comics released their sales figures for April 2014. Marvel pulled more sharply ahead of DC last month, which could be credited both to the release of two major Spider-Man comics on Marvel's end and the prolonged delay of Forever Evil #7 and related tie-ins on DC's end.
Marvel's claimed 39.27 % of the market in dollar share and 41.15% in unit share. Meanwhile, DC decreased to 23.65% in dollar share and 27.24% in unit share. Image numbers also decreased a but compared to March, with 9.34% dollar share and 10.31 % unit share. Dark Horse and IDW followed in fourth and fifth place, respectively, with both hovering around the 5% mark in each category.
