Full spoilers for the episode to follow.
In “Signaling Risk,” the Pied Piper team encounters a new slew of problems on a larger scale than anything they’ve faced before, most notably Richard realizing that Peter Gregory could care less about their company and that they’ve got to ready a live demo within mere weeks. Meanwhile, Erlich tries to acquire a logo from a local graffiti artist and Dinesh and Gilfoyle continue their competitive antics.
This episode has a hefty amount of laugh-out-loud chuckles, and surprisingly it’s Erlich’s story that provides a bulk of them. His struggle to understand what makes him sound racist and what doesn’t takes the joke that fell flat from last episode and makes it work here. Erlich is ignorant and oafish, but T.J. Miller plays him so genuinely confused about his racism that it’s hilarious.
