Director Ridley Scott is in talks to helm The Martian, an outer space adventure film starring Matt Damon.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Scott will also produce the film along with X-Men: Days of Future Past writer-director Simon Kinberg and Aditya Sood (Let’s Be Cops).
Based on the book of the same name by Andy Weir, The Martian was originally to be directed by Drew Goddard. He left the film, however, to helm The Sinister Six for Sony.
